Amy Julia Moore Talley

Obituary Date: Saturday, March 7, 2009
Mrs. Amy Julia Moore Talley, age 35, of Chicopee, Georgia, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, March 13, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Chicopee Baptist Church. Mrs. Talley will lie in state from 1:00- 2:00 pm at the church prior to the service. Officiating will be Reverend Phil Carpenter, Reverend Doug Collins, and Reverend Steve Midkiff. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 from 3:00- 5:00pm, and 7:00- 9:00pm, and on Thursday, March 12, 2009 from 3:00- 5:00pm, and 7:00-9:00 pm.

Mrs. Talley was born September 4, 1973 in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended The Georgia Institute of Technology and received her degree in Criminal Justice from North Georgia College in 1996.She was an active member of the Young Republican Party in Hall County. She served as a security guard in the 1996 Olympics. She worked as a paralegal for Smith, Gilliam, Williams, and Miles, in Gainesville, Georgia. Amy cherished her animals, especially cats. She was a member of Chicopee Baptist Church. Mrs. Talley was preceded in death by her mother, Alma Jean White Moore.

Mrs. Talley is survived by her husband, Joseph Warren Talley Jr. of Chicopee, GA, her stepsons, Scott and Wes Talley, of Clermont, GA, her father and stepmother, Curt and Martha Moore of Gainesville, GA, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe W. Sr. and Sharon Talley of Murrayville, GA, her mother-in-law and father-in-law Shelia and Andy Grigg of Cleveland, GA, her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Toni Moore of Dahlonega, GA, her brother and sister-in-law Edgar Grady and Kim Moore of Cumming, GA, her nephew, Edgar Grady Moore II of Cumming, GA.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to Chicopee Baptist Church, 13 First Street, Gainesville, GA 30504, or to The Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer, 5005 LBJ freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244.
