Christine Porter

Mrs. Christine Porter, age 92 of Cumming, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2009 following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Edwin Porter and her grandson, Chuck Maddox.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Ann and Bob Ralls of Cumming, granddaughter Sandra Morris and her husband, Johnny of Carrolton, great grand children, DeAnna Baxter of Carrolton and Cpl. Earl Maddox and his wife, Melissa of Jacksonville, N.C . Other survivors included a great-great granddaughter, Hayden Maddox of Jacksonville, N.C. and sister, Betty Miller of Lilburn, brother and sister in law, Norris and Joann Allen of Duluth. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Cross Plains Baptist Church with the Reverend Johnny Purcell officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Monday, March 9, 2009 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
