Frances Hardy Crowe

Frances Hardy Crowe, age 82 of Cornelia, passed away Saturday, March 07, 2009, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Habersham County on June 4, 1926, she was the daughter of the late George Washington and Maude Askew Hardy. She was a homemaker and member of Level Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Crowe; granddaughter, Dee Dee Crowe-Smith; and several brothers and sisters also precede her in death.

Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Sue & Thomas Westmoreland of Cornelia; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles & Dinah Crowe of Mt. Airy, Danny & Ura Ann Crowe of Clarkesville and Donald & Kathy Crowe of Cornelia; sister, Dorothy Murray of Toccoa; six grandchildren, Angie Wilson, Stephanie Westmoreland, Rev. Lori Burgess, Ura Elizabeth Crowe-Drew, Natalie Umbehant and Nathan Crowe; she is also survived by six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 2:00 pm Monday, March 09, 2009, at Level Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Lori Burgess and Rev. Brain James officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery with Rev. Terry Rice officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Sunday. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Level Grove Baptist Church, Debt Reduction Fund, PO Box 416, Cornelia, GA 30531 or to First Baptist Church of Cornelia, Debt Reduction Fund, PO Box 96, Cornelia, GA 30531. The family is at the residence of the daughter.
