Charles Nelson Sosebee Sr

Mr. Charles Nelson Sosebee Sr., age 73, of Sautee, passed away Friday, March 06, 2009 at Northeast GA Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Sosebee was born in White County on January 12, 1936 to the late Frank C. and Fannie Cantrell Sosebee. He was a veteran serving in the US Army. Mr. Sosebee was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth McDougald Sosebee. He was an avid gardener and an active Gideon in the White County camp. Mr. Sosebee was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Bertie Sosebee, Sautee; sons and daughters in law Charles and Angela Sosebee, Sautee; Curtis and Michelle Sosebee, Sautee; step sons and daughters in law Glenn and Angie Nunnally, Demorest; Gary and Stephanie Nunnally, Clarkesville; sister Margie Ferguson, Clarkesville; grandsons Conley and Isaac Sosebee, both of Sautee; step grandchildren Kyle McDonald, Lacey McDonald, Greg Brooks, Britney, Ritnour, Jenny Martin, Timothy and Lacy Nunnally, James Nunnally, Olivia Nunnally, Allie Nunnally, Millie Nunnally, great grandsons Tye and Joshua; great grand daughters Whitney and Kaily; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3 P.M. Sunday, March 8, 2009 in Bethel Baptist Church. The Rev. Benny Nix, Rev. Anthony Shore, and Rev. Raymond Fortner will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
