Effort Odell Kinsey

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm on Monday, March 9, 2009 at Diamond Hill Baptist Church for Effort Odell Kinsey, age 74, of Gainesville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Elmer Maddox & Rev. Cotton Harris will officiate. The family will receive friends at the daughters residence located at 5491 Hwy 52 Gillsville on Saturday & Sunday from 12noon-9pm both days. Mr. Kinsey passed away on Friday, March 6th at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Kinsey was born August 12, 1934 in White County to the late Leonard Robert Kinsey and Mary Ruby Brewster Kinsey. He served his county in the U.S. Army, was a Logger and a member of Diamond Hill Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife Margie Ann Kinsey, his parents, sister & brother-in-law Margie & Benny Price, and sister Rene Wilson.

Mr. Kinsey is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law David & Andrea Kinsey of Gainesville, and Robert & Rosie Kinsey of Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law Litishia Lawrence of Gillsville, Martha & Dennis Burch of Gillsville, and Rhonda & Glenn Andrus of Lula; sister and brother-in-law Kathy & Dennis Stone of Flowery Branch; 21 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
