Martha Coley Harris

Memorial Park Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Martha Coley Harris, age 71, of Poole Road, Lula, Georgia who passed away Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Lanier Park Hospial following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Sunday, March 01, 2009 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Howard Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, February 28, 2009.


Mrs. Harris was born July 17, 1937 in Hall County to the late Noah W. Coley and Verdie Peggy Davis Coley. She was the owner and operator of a tax service and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.


Survivors include her sisters and brothers-in-law, Ethel and Cotton Harris of Lula; Judy and Garnett Stephens of Demorest; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Sandra Coley of Gainesville; brother, Gary W. Coley, Sr. of Hayesville, Georgia; and a number of nieces and nephews.


Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Hall County, 845 West Ridge Road, Gainesville, Georgia, 30501.
