Odell C. Warwick

Mr. Odell C. Warwick, 84 of Marietta, Georgia formerly of Cleveland, Georgia passed away on Monday, February 23, 2009 following an extended illness.

Born in White County, Georgia on July 6, 1924 he was the only child of the late Henry and Hollie Warwick. He married Lucille Merritt of Cleveland, Georgia on July 4, 1943. In 1944 he was called up for Military Service in the United States Army serving in the Philippines until his discharge in 1946. He began his long career with Lockheed Aircraft in 1955 and retired after 32 years of service. He enjoyed Woodworking and Gardening as his hobbies.

Mr. Warwick was preceded in death by his wife Lucille in 2004. He is survived by his Daughters Beverly Crocker, Kennesaw and Emily Tatum, Ballground. Son-in-laws Ken Crocker, Kennesaw and Jack Tatum, Ballground. Granddaughters, Michelle Davis, Atlanta, Sarah Hall (Jeff), Jasper. Grandson, Keith Tatum, Statesboro. Sister-in-laws, Christine Stephens (Don), Clermont, Jenny Merritt, Sautee, Mary Ruth Allen, Huntsville, Ala. Several treasured Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, February 26, 2009 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home, Cleveland, Georgia. The Revs. Terry Head and Wesley Stephens will officiate. Burial will follow in the Gateway Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Wednesday, February 25, 2009 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
