Jack Lee Benton

Jack Lee Benton, 75, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2009 in Gainesville. He was born Miami, Fla., on December 27, 1933, and was the son of the late Jack Leroy and Rose Helen Hall Benton. In 1951 he graduated from P.B. High School. He was in the US Army. He was employed with Brenau College for 30 years.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death a son, Steven Craig Benton.

He is survived by his wife, Yumi Benton of Dahlonega, son and daughter-in-law, Gary Scott and Susan Benton of Lake Worth, FL, David Lee and Lee Benton of Port St Lucie, Fl, daughter, Linda Ann and David Clayton of Safety Harbor, FL, son Jim Shipley of Atlanta, GA, son, Glenn Eric and Mimi Benton of Liberty S.C., sister, Judy Benton of Spruce Pines, NC, grandchildren Brian, Matthew, Bradley, Gaven, Christina, Madison and Brett and one great grandchild Peyton a niece and nephew In Chu Angela Pak and Tuck Fook Low.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2009 and after the memorial service.

Memorial service will be Sunday February 22, 2009 at 4:00 PM in the Little & Davenport funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Steve Brown will officiate.
