Richard Fredrick Langworthy

Richard Fredrick Langworthy, age 59 of Gainesville, Ga. died February 19, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
He was born on July 15, 1949. His mother Florence Langworthy of Brooksville, Florida survives. He was preceded by his father John Langworthy.

He married the former Bonnie Paschen on August 7, 1971 in Otto N.Y.. He always said that was the best day of his life. Also surviving; Sons; Douglas (Laura) of Dahlonega. Kevin Langworthy (Debra) of Gainesville. Ga. Five Grandchildren: Jonathan Langworthy, Samantha Case, Jennah Case, Paige Billingsly and Hali Atkinson all of Georgia. They were his pride and joy. Four Sisters; Rosemary Cobo, Barb Talbot both of Little Valley. Judy Bridges (Bill) of Little Valley and Nancy Nash of Las Vegas. 1 Half Sister; Cheryl Moore (Bob) of Dubois, Pa. 2 Step Sisters: Carolyn Schapp (Mike) of Salamanac. Marilyn Whitmere of East Otto. 1 Half Brother; Dale Langworthy (Karen) of Salamanac. He also left behind several Nieces and Nephews. One Godson, Todd Paschen of Boston.

He served 7 years in the United States Marine Corp. He served 2 tours in Vietnam, 11 years at Dresser Clark, He retired from Todco in Cattaraugus. He was a life time member of the VFW in Little Valley. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Dahlonega, was a member of the Vietnam Vets association of Dawsonville, Ga. A life member of Disabled American Veterans. He served as a trustee for the village of Little Valley over 6 years. Mr. Langworthy owned and operated Langworthyâ
