Lawton Waters

Mr. Lawton Waters, age 71, of Dahlonega, died Friday February 20, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
Mr. Waters was born in Dawson County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mynor N. and Lula Waters; Son: Roger L. Waters; brothers, Delton, Maynard and L.J. Waters.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Christine Trammell Waters, Dahlonega; Grandson and wife, Roger and Ashley Waters, Canton, Ga.; brothers; Weldon Waters, Braselton, Floyd Waters and Clinton Waters, both of Dahlonega, Larry Waters, Gainesville; sisters, Doris Blackwell, High Point, N.C., Anne Gee, Dacula, Ga.; daughter-in-law; Lelia Goss, Dahlonega; Adopted Grandson; Daniel Goss; Dahlonega. A number of other relatives also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday February 22, 2009 at Antioch Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. Rev. Lyman Caldwell and Rev. Clifford Allen will officiate.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday February 21, 2009 from 2 PM until 9 PM.
