Edna Jaramillo

Edna Ann Jaramillo, 74, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away February 19, 2009. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior in December of 1978 and is in heaven with her Lord today. She prayed for her unsaved family and friends old and new regularly. She embraced life in all she did. She fulfilled most of her dreams, traveling, writing stories for her grandchildren, and going to Disney World a record number of times. That is how she came by the name "Grandma Disney". She was loved by many. Edna was born May 16, 1934 in Iowa Falls, Iowa. She was a woman of great determination and fight. She successfully raised 3 children and retired from a 30 year career as a counselor in the public school system in Florida. Edna was a member of the Ding a Lings Handbell Choir, the Balloon Volleyball Club and the Bears.
She is survived by daughter, Lynnette Gelles of Bethal Park, PA, son; Michael Jaramillo of Madison, GA, daughter; Lydia Johnson of Gainesville, GA 13 grandchildren; Nicholas Gelles of Bethal Park, PA, Lindsey Gelles of Bethal Park, PA, Noelia Jaramillo of Madison, GA, Michael Jaramillo of the Military,Carlos Jaramillo of Madison, GA, Nina Jaramillo of Madison, GA, Tiphany Gorman of Gainesville, GA, Heather Johnson of Gainesville, GA, Kenneth Johnson of the Military, Matthew Johnson of Gainesville, GA, Katherine Johnson of Gainesville, GA and Danielle Johnson of Gainesville, GA.

Memorial service will be Sunday, February 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be after the service, at Little & Davenport.
