Mrs. Louise Elliott Smith, 83 of Gainesville died Wednesday February 18, 2009.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 21, 2009 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. James Dumas will officiate. Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday February 20, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
A native of Dawson County, Mrs. Smith had lived in Hall County for the past 65 years. She was the daughter of the late Erving George and Ruby Hughes Elliott. She was a homemaker, taught at Riverbend Elementary School for a number of years and along with her late husband Jessie D. Smith owned and operated Jessie D. Smith Motor Company in Gainesville. Mrs. Smith was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church on Washington Street.

Survivors include her Sons and Daughters-in-law; J.D. and Flo Smith; Don and Judy Smith, all of Gainesville; Sister and Brother-in-law; Ethel and the Rev. Tommie Gene Smith, Dawsonville; Grandchildren; Brian Smith, Decatur; Joanna Smith, Atlanta; Britton Smith, Gainesville; Donya Jarrett, Gainesville; Faith Radosta, Gainesville; Great Grandchildren; Aiden Smith, Brunswick; Delaney Jarrett, Ansley Radosta, Christopher Radosta, Robert Radosta, Ashlynne Radosta all of Gainesville. A number of neices, nephews and cousins also survive.
