Lula Chandler Jarrard

Lula C. Jarrard, age 96, of Peachtree Plantation, Oakwood, Georgia, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2009. She was born December 18, 1912 in Hall County, Georgia the daughter of John H. and Mary Farmer Chandler.

Mrs. Jarrard was retired from Cape Canaveral Fl. And was a lifetime member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eston Jarrard, daughter; Modane Mallabone and nephew Bill Turk.

She is survived by her nephews; Hugh K. Turk and Frank Turk both of Gainesville, Marvin Turk of Oakwood; nieces Sue Ryder of Flowery Branch, Helen McDonald of Gainesville, a number of great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 11, 2009 from 2:00PM until 4:00PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Little & Davenport, 355 Dawsonville Hwy, Gainesville, GA.

A Graveside service will be Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Phil Carpenter will officiate.

Interment will be in the Poplar Springs Baptist Church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Odyssey Hospice, 575 Research Dr. Suite A Athens, GA 30605.
