James Carlton Campbell

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Springway Baptist Church for James Carlton Campbell, age 87, of Gainesville. Burial will be in Airline Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Johnny Stone will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 10th from 6pm-9pm. Mr. Campbell passed away on Monday, February 9th at his sons residence following a extended illness.

Mr. Campbell was born January 16, 1922 in Hall County to the late Cornelius Ham Campbell & Elizabeth Phagan Campbell. He was a truck driver and a mechanic and a member of Springway Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife Amanda Flynn Campbell.

Mr. Campbell is survived by his sons Calvin Campbell of Gainesville and Randy Joe Campbell of Gillsville; daughters Hazel Gunter of Braselton, Janice Campbell Loving of Martin, Ga., & Marilyn Savage of Talmo; brothers C.H. Campbell of Pendergrass & David Campbell of Flowery Branch; sisters Thelma Broome of Pendergrass, & Patricia Parker of Flowery Branch; 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.
