Thomas Mitchell Roe

Memorial Park Funeral Home announces the death of Thomas Mitchell Roe, age 78, of Twin City, GA on Sunday, February 1, 2009, at his residence after an extended illness.



Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 7th, at 11 AM at the Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church in Oakwood, GA with Rev. John Batusic officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until service time.



Graveside services will follow at Memorial Park on Memorial Park Drive in Gainesville, GA



Mr. Roe was born in Dover, NJ, served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict and sold and serviced check weighing machines all over the country. He was a member of the Twin City First Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge in Stanhope, NJ, loved life, never met a stranger, was an avid fisherman, traveled all over the country, and loved Alaska with a passion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Irene Lamerton Roe and his wife of 52 years, Lenora Roe.

4 Sons and Two Daughters-In-Law: Tom and Anita Roe of Oakland, CA, Craig and Mary Anne Roe of Flanders, NJ, David Roe of Gainesville, GA and Michael and Lisa Roe of Las Vegas, NV
