Robert Lee (Skinny) Fields

Mr. Robert Lee (Skinny) Fields, age 82, of Dahlonega, GA died Sunday Feb. 1, 2009 at the Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega.

Mr. Fields was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County, was a retired heavy equipment operator, and was of the Baptist faith.

He was the son of the late John and Pearl Davis Fields and stepson, Corky Pruitt.

Mr. Fields is survived by Stepdaughters, Geneva Reece, Dahlonega, GA, Geraldine James, Alabama, Mary Edmondson Cantrell, Dahlonega, GA, and Martha Woodward, Dahlonega, GA; Brothers, James Fields and Roger Fields, both of Dahlonega, GA; Step grandchildren, Joann Rider, Corky Reece, Matthew Parks, Nathan Edmondson, Jeanne Sharp, Frankie Elks, Robin Holcombe, Sandy Morris, Stacy Jarrard, Jerry Jarrard, and Jody Allison. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3 PM Tuesday Feb. 3, 2009 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 PM until 9 PM, all day on Monday, and again on Tuesday until the time of service.
