Pearlene Eula Wood

Mrs. Pearlene Eula Wood, age 70, of Commerce GA died Friday January 30, 2009 at Athens Regional Medical Center.


She was born in Jackson County to the late James Hubert and Reba Massey Mealor. Mrs. Wood was a homemaker and a member of Cabin Creek Baptist Church. She is preceeded in death by her husband Roger Wood and daughter Melissa Wood.


She is survived by two daughters Beth Porter of Commerce, GA and Gail David of Nicholson, GA; brother Jerry Mealor of Commerce, GA; sister Sara Massey of Cornelia GA; and two grandchildren Kyle and Lauren Porter of Commerce,GA.


Funeral service will be Sunday February 1, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Cabin Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Nancy Boorman and Rev. Mark Mobley officiating. Interment follows in the Cabin Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 6-8 PM.
