Grace Dooley Anderson

Funeral services will be held for Grace Dooley Anderson 87, of Eastanollee on January 30, 2009 at 3:00 pm from Liberty Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Tommy Madden and Rev. Bill Stacy will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Larry Forrester will be in charge of graveside services. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 29, 2009 from 2 until 4 pm and 7 until 9 pm at Whitlock Mortuary, Toccoa, Georgia.


Mrs. Anderson died January 28, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Lanier Park Campus following an extended illness.
Pallbearers will be Thad Bowers, Adam Bowers, Wade Ivester, Tom Dooley, John Whitworth and Paul Whitworth. Pallbearers are asked to assemble at the Mortuary at Friday at 2pm.


Mrs. Anderson was a native of Stephens County, born to the late Wilburn and Haley Friar Dooley on October 21, 1921. She was the widow of the Late Rev. Willie Joe Anderson and a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by five sisters, Lucy Collins, Florence Ivester, Elizabeth Harrison, Lois Martin and Lula Belle Hulsey; and two Brothers, Jim Dooley and Jess Dooley. Mrs. Anderson was the last surviving member of her immediate family.


Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Debbie Anderson of Toccoa; daughters and sons-in-laws Karen and Stanley Wood of Hiawassee, Rhonda and Bill Holley of Eastanollee, and Donna and Sparks Bowers of Gainesville; grandchildren Thad Bowers, Adam Bowers, Corey Holley, Jerrica Anderson and Jayley Anderson, granddaughter and grandson- in-law Kayla and Joey Adams; great-granddaughter Kelsee Adams. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
