Estelle Marie Haynes Denton

Ivie Funeral Home announces services for Estelle Marie Haynes Denton, 78, of Homer, who died Sunday, January 25, 2009.


She was the daughter of the late Earnest and Willie Mae Sears Haynes and the widow of Clarence Denton.


Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Clarence Thomas and Sandra Denton of Homer; daughter and son-in-law June and Paul Williamson of Homer; and daughter and son-in-law Laverne and Larry Barrett of Jefferson; one brother Pete Haynes of Commerce; and a sister Jean Hooper of Commerce. six grandchildren also survive, Lacy Turpin, Joey Barrett, Christopher Williamson, Matthew Barrett (Casey Hill), Ashley Denton, and Mike Williamson; six great grandchildren survive, Jackson Turpin, Wyatt Turpin, Lauren Barrett, Cason Barrett, Jennifer Williamson, and Cynthia Williamson.


Mrs. Denton was preceded in death by two brothers, Oscar Haynes and James Haynes and a sister Virginia Puckett.


Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Webb officiating with burial in the Grey Hill Cemetery.


The family is at the home of June Williamson, 876 McDonald Cemetery Road, and will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
