Jerry Garland Armour

Obituary Date: Saturday, January 24, 2009
Jerry Garland Armour, 67, Jim Hood Road, Gainesville, GA passed away, Saturday, January, 24, 2009, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Tuesday, Jan 27th at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel North. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Matt Wethington will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at North Riverside Chapel.

Mr. Armour was born to the late J, D. Armour and Louise (Kidd) Armour in Hall County where he lived all his life. He was co-owner of Esquire Mobile Home dealership for 25 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. His grandchildren were the delight of his life. He was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church. He attended Riverbend Baptist Church for approximately the last 30 years. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Armour.

Suriviors include: his wife, Kay Armour, Gainvesville, Son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Carl and Melody Armour of Gainesville; Son, Kerry Armour, Gainesville; Son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Tiffany Armour, of Auburn, Ga.; Daughter and Son-in-law, Jenna Kay and Rocky Pridgen of Lula, Ga.; Five Grandchildren, Terri and Tyler Armour and Ryder, Wyatt and Sarah Kay Pridgen; Mother-in-Law, Elizabeth Harrington Gainesville, Sister-in-Law, Betty Ann Hulsey, Gainesville; Sister-in-law and Brother-inlaw, Pat and Jim O'Kelly, Gainesville and Brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Karen Harrington of Gainesville, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Riverbend Baptist Church Building Fund, 1715 Cleveland Hwy., Gainesville, Ga., 30501.
