Madelyn Claire Frazier

McDonald and Son Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Madelyn Claire Frazier, age 91, formerly of Cumming, Georgia, who died Thursday, January 22, 2009 at St. Georgia Village in Roswell, Georgia.


The daughter of the late Thomas and Laura Apgra, she was a native of New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Frazier, Sr., and daughter, Cynthia Kalish.


A long-time member of Cumming First United Methodist Church, she was active in the Church Bazaar and served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen (Jim) Taudte of Marietta, Georgia; brother, James F. Frazier, Jr., of Atlanta; brother-in-law, Stan Kalisch of Marietta; sister, Aline McLaughlin of Florida; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.


Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 25, 2009 in the Chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Ron Preuss and Reverend Rebecca Herring officiating.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 25, 2009 from 1:00 PM until the hour of the service at 2:00 PM.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in memory of Madelyn Frazier be made to the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, 1577 Northeast Expressway, Atlanta, Georgia, 30319 for the purchase of sewing machines for its camps.
