Mary Drew

Mary Drew passed away on January 13, 2009 at the grand age of 96. A graduate of Tift College, she served our country in WWII as First Lieutenant in the Marine Corps, then served our community as a teacher in the Atlanta area for 30 years. During that time, she earned two graduate degrees from Georgia State University. A long time member and pianist for the Druid Hills Baptist Church, she was one of the first women to be honored as a deacon. She directed the Life Enrichment program in Dekalb County and was an honorary member of the Decatur Lions Club.
