Louise Landers Dill

Louise Landers Dill, age 84 of Mt Airy, passed away Friday, January 9, 2009 Heritage Healthcare of Toccoa following an extended illness.

Born in Habersham County on April 23, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Zadie Flanagan Landers. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt Airy Baptist Church and previously was a member of Hazel Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Dill enjoyed crocheting and gardening. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, John Cecil Dill; brother, Benny Landers; sister, Sarah Ann Shore and two grandchildren.

Surviving are daughter, JoAnn Church of Clarkesville, Brenda King of Mt. Airy, Helen Toney of Dacula, Vickie Goss of Lawrenceville and Loraine Jones of Gainesville; son, Kenneth Dill of Novelty MO; fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and several stepbrothers and sisters also survive.

Funeral services are 2:00 pm Sunday, January 11, 2009, from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Billy Burrell officiating. Interment will follow at Hazel Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Saturday. The family is at the residence of daughter, Brenda King, 187 Farmhouse Road, Mt. Airy, GA 30563.
