Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Harold Richard Spies, age 74 of Cornelia. Mr. Spies passed away Friday, January 2, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a period of declining health.
Mr. Spies wishes were to be cremated with no public services held.
Mr. Spies was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 20, 1934 to Fred Spies and Helen Neil. He lived most of his life in Michigan where he was a Tool and Dye repairman and had lived in Georgia for the past twenty years.
He is survived by his son, Kevin Chuhran, Cornelia; daughters, Beverly Gates, St. Clair, MI.; Judy Gybowski, Hubbard lake, MI.; Susan Spies, Romeo, MI.; Jeanette Marcoux, Ruby. MI. as well as 11 grandchildren
