Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Samuel Leon Chastain, age 64 of Sautee. Mr. Chastain passed away Sunday, January 4, 2009 at his residence following a sudden illness. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 11, 2009 from Union Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dave Fortner and the Rev. George Fortner officiating.
Mr. Chastain was born in White County on June 17, 1944 and was the son of the late Samuel Martin Chastain and Cora Holcomb Chastain. He was a well know stone mason by trade and was a member of Union Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Chastain, brothers Elmer Chastain and Donald Chastain, sisters Lillie Worley, Willie Mae Noblet and Claudine Hopper
Survivors include his son, Andrew Chastain, Sautee; brothers, Allen Chastain, Clyde Chastain and Roy Chastain all of Sautee
