William W. "Capt. Bill" Jackson

William W. "Capt. Bill" Jackson, age 83, of Dahlonega, GA died Sunday January 4, 2009 at his residence.

Mr. Jackson was born in Purley, England and had lived in Dahlonega since 1999. He was a retired manufacturer's representative in the lighting industry. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and Korea and also served in the Coast Guard Auxiliary.

He was the son of the late Thomas Lee Jackson and Janet Taylor Jackson.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Jackson, Dahlonega, GA; Sons and daughter-in-law, Tom Jackson, Cumming, GA, Chad and Sheree Jackson, Fort Myers, FL, Daughters and son-in-law, Deborah Hagan, Dahlonega, GA, Tracy and Mike Adamowicz, Cumming, GA; grandchildren, John Jackson, Ryan Jackson, and Martha Jackson.

A memorial service for Mr. Jackson is scheduled for 2 PM Thursday January 8, 2009 at St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church in Dahlonega. Rev. Albert Daviou will officiate.

A reception will follow in Boyd Hall at St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church.
