Ralph E. Cowart

Mr. Ralph E. Cowart, age 82, of Cumming, GA, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2009. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and Deacon for over 30 years. Mr. Cowart was also a Mason. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Tallant.

Survivors include wife of 64 years, Imogene H. Cowart of Cumming; son, Jimmy E. Cowart of Cumming; granddaughter, Maryann Beck of Dawsonville; great granddaughter, Anna Lee Beck of Dawsonville; sisters and brother-in-law, Sylvia Heard of Cumming and Mildred and Bill Freeman; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leverette and Sally Heard of Cumming; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bud Sutton, Rev. Ricky Byrd, Rev. Mark Akins and Rev. Carroll Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 3, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Sunday, January 4, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday, January 5, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia will be in charge of arrangements.
