Sarah Bush Corley

Mrs. Sarah Bush Corley of Cumming, GA, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Jerry Corley; parents, Mr. & Mrs. Thomas E. Bush, Sr. and brother, John R. Bush.

Mrs. Corley was graduated from the University of Georgia and was selected to join the faculty of an experimental school in the Fulton County School System. After her children were well into their school years, Mrs. Corley began an eighteen-year association with Brandon Hall School and also served as a trustee on the school's Board of Trustees for 13 years. She also served as a trustee for the Georgia Southwestern College Foundation. Mrs. Corley was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cumming, the Lanier Bridge Club and the Atlanta Athletic Club.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Jim Williamson; daughter, Carol C. Vogt; daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Rich Miller; three grandchildren, Sarah Vogt, Kinsey Miller and Tyler Miller; sister, Lucy B. Thomas; brother, Tom Bush; sister-in-law Betty C. Knowles; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

A Memorial service will be held Monday, January 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Cumming, GA with Dr. Robert Jolly officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
