Ellen Margaret Hill Williams

Ellen Margaret Hill Williams, age 80, of Baldwin, Georgia died Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Oak Heritage Healthcare.

Mrs. Williams was born on February 5, 1928 in Clarkesville, Georgia to the late Claude and Dora Lucy Sloan Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer L. Williams. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Camp Creek Baptist Church in Six Mile, South Carolina. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Education at Piedmont College and was a school teacher.

Survivors include: her sons and daughters-in-law: Joe and Carol Dyer, Six Mile, SC; Nick and Joni Dyer, Clermont, GA; Ronnie and Jeanna Dyer, Clermont, GA; her sister: Peggy Taylor, Clarkesville, GA; her sister and brother-in-law: Betty and John Chokos, Savannah, GA; her brother and sister-in-law: Larry and Ann Hill, Demorest, GA; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2008 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. John Reeser and Rev. Grady Walden officiating. Interment will follow in Clarkesville City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. on Saturday.
