William R. Childs

Mr. William Robert Childs, age 88 of Cumming formerly of Lowndes County, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Northside-Forsyth Hospital in Cumming, Georgia.

Mr. Childs was a World War II Veteran receiving the Purple Heart. He was also a Mason with the Azalea City Masonic Lodge in South Georgia. He was a retired Electrician. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Childs in May 2005.

Survivors include his son, Buddy & Glenda Childs of Cumming; daughter, Sharon Cowart of Lake Park, Georgia. Eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survived.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 7th at Lake Park Church of God with Rev. Keith Sandlin officiating. The family will receive friends from 6
