Daniel A. "Woody" Wood

Ivie Funeral Home announces services for Daniel A. "Woody" Wood, 56, of Commerce who died on Monday, August 11, 2008 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born in Salzburg, Austria, he was the son of the late Darce Cecil Wood and the late Peggy Glendean Walker Wood. He was married to his loving wife of 36 years, Janet Ward Wood.

Survivors, along with his wife, include a son, Ricky (Michelle) Wood of Commerce; brother, David Wood of Hephzibah; sisters, Joyce Wood, Idaho, Kathy Wood, Columbia, SC, Belinda Sheppard, SC; grandchildren, Skyler and Taylor Wood; stepmother, Carolyn Wood, Wrens; step-brother, Dwayne Wood, Wrens; step-sister, Sissy Wood, CA.

Funeral Services for Woody Wood will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey Murray officiating. Interment will follow in the Banks County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-9 p.m.
