Irene DeLong Pittman

Funeral services are scheduled for Irene DeLong Pittman, age 94 of Gainesville. Services will be 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in Strickland Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 on Monday, May 26, 2008 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Pittman was retired from Leece Nevill and is a member of Dewberry Baptist Church #1.

She is survived by a son James (Jimmy) Pittman of Gainesville; a daughter and son-in-law, Julia Ann (Judy) and John Palmour of Cleveland; a sister, Ruth Brown of Clermont; grandsons, Steve Pittman and Dan Palmour and wife Tonya; granddaughter and husband, Betsy and Randy Chandler; great-grandchildren, Ben and Josh Chandler.
