Celeste Bagwell Forrester

Mrs. Celeste Bagwell Forrester of Oakwood, GA, passed away Sunday May 18, 2008 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center after a courageous battle with an extended illness.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Forrester was a lifetime member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Herbert and Evelyn Bagwell and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Byron M. and Claudine Forrester.

Mrs. Celeste is survived by her husband of 42 years, Reggie Forrester, Oakwood, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Betsy and Billy Skaggs; grandchildren, Benjamin and Avery Skaggs, all of Gainesville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Colin Millwood, Flowery Branch, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Patsy Bagwell and David and Lynn Bagwell, all of Oakwood, GA; brother-in-law, Phillip Forrester, Gainesville, GA; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Flat Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Loren Hildebrandt, Rev. Charles Jones and Rev. Joe Vernon will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.

The family will receive friends Tuesday May 20, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 9:00PM at the Mason & Ward Funeral Home.

Flowers will be accepted, or contributions may be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia or to the Flat Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 5504 Flat Creek Road, Gainesville, GA 30504.

The family would like to extend a personal thank you to Dr. Bradley Pierce and Dr. Miriam Gentin for their excellent guidance and genuine loving care throughout this long battle. In addition, appreciation is extended to the wonderful nursing staff on 4 East and 5 East at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center and Hospice of Northeast Georgia.
