Georgia Buffington

Georgia M. Buffington, age 90, Otter Drive, Gainesville,GA, passed away Feb. 24th following an extended illness. Funeral sevices will be Thursday 3:30 p.m. from the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Wayne Hicks officiating. Interment will follow in the Gillsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m.

Mrs. Buffington was born in Madison County, but had lived in Hall County for a number of years. She was the daughter of the late Andrew F. WIlson and Liza Hall Wilson. She was a homemaker and a member of Gillsville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Margie Williams.

Survivors include: her daughters and sons-in-law, Gennell & Gene Kiser, Gainesville, Emma Lou & William Weldon, Jefferson, Patricia and Randy Doss, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Charles K and Mary Fay Buffington, Gainesville; sister, Azzie Buffington, Gillsville.
