Sally Simmons Watts Starr

McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home of Cornelia announces the death of Sally Simmons Watts Starr, age 84, of Clarkesville, GA, who died on Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at the Habersham County Medical Center following a brief illness.

Born in Habersham County on October 14, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Cleland K. and Texie Bramblett Simmons. She was a homemaker and a member of Chopped Oak Baptist Church. Mrs. Starr was preceded in death by a son, Donnis Watts.

Survivors include her daughter, Andrea Williams, Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Pam Watts, Turnerville; son, Jerry Watts, Clarkesville; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, April 02, 2004 from the Chopped Oak Baptist Church with Reverend Alvin Burns officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM on Thursday, April 01, 2004.
