Robert William "Bob" Childs

Funeral services will be held in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., at a date and time to be determined for Mr. Robert William "Bob" Childs, 70, of Cleveland.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Childs died Monday, May 24, 2004, at his residence following a brief illness.

Mr. Childs was born in Uniontown, Pa., and had lived in Florida before moving to White County. He was the son of the late William Childs. He was retired from Eastern Airlines and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Childs, Cleveland; daughter, Jeanine Childs, Evanston, Ill.; son, Michael Childs, Lighthouse Point, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Martha Pailes, Henderson, Nev.; mother, Margaret Childs, Allison, Pa.; brothers, Frank Childs, Allison, Pa., and Bill Childs, Mentor, Ohio; niece, Sandy Anderson, St. Charles, Ill.; and several nephews.
