Fred T. Burns
Obituary Date: Monday, December 13, 2004
Mr. Fred T. Burns, age 85 of Dahlonega Georgia, died Friday December 10, 2004 at Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega following a brief illness.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He was a veteran of World War II , a retired farmer and manager of Lumpkin County Farmers Association. Recently he was employed as a bookkeeper at Boyd Cantrell Saw Mill.
He was the son to the late Henry Thomas Burns and Belle Johnson Burns. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Yvonne Lunsford Burns ,and a sister Mamie Phillips.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Tommy and Doris Burns of Dahlonega:
Daughter and Son-in-law Linda and David Hill of Alburn Alabama, Becky and Jim Burnett of Dahlonega. Mr. Burns had 9 Grandchildren, 6 greatgrandchildren and 1 special niece
Funeral Services are 2:00 P.M. Sunday December 12 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Clifford Allen will officiate.
Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Dahlonega.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M.
Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega is in charge of the arrangements.
