Clarence Emory Wingo, age 76 of England Road, Gainesville passed away Tuesday January 11, 2005 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held 3:00pm Thursday January 13, 2005 in the Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Wesley Purcell, Rev. Robert Nix and Rev. Junior Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends 6:30-9pm Tuesday January 11, 2005 and from 7-9pm Wednesday January 12, 2005 at the funeral home.
Mr. Wingo born to the late Calvin and Ida Bell Brown Wingo, he was a life long resident of Hall County. Mr. Wingo proudly served with the United States Army. He was employed with the Wm. Wrigley Co. for 17 years prior to his retirement. He was also a member of the East Hall Baptist Church. Mr. Wingo was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter-in-law, Sonja Wingo.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Wingo, son, Ronnie Wingo, daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Doug McNeal, Judy and Donnie Pruitt, Joan and Greg Jones, and Carolyn and Keith Williams; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Libby Wingo; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, C.L. and Shelby Wingo, and Tommy and Joan Wingo; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vivian and Art Ellington and Lillian and Donald McNeal.
