Robert (Bobby) Franklin Ferguson, Sr.

Mr. Ferguson, Sr. died his residence on Saturday evening after an extended illness. He is the son of Lillie Mae Tate Ferguson of Gillsville and the late William Patrick Ferguson. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Daniel Ferguson, two brothers: Harold Ray Ferguson & John Thomas Ferguson and grandson: Benji Ferguson. Mr. Ferguson was a 5th generation folk potter and was a member of the Midway United Methodist Church in Gillsville.

Survivors, other than his mother, include his wife: Mary Catherine Ferguson of the home; 3 Sons: Robert (Denise) Franklin Ferguson, Jr., Commerce, William A. (Frankie) Ferguson and Stanley J. (Pam) Ferguson, both of Gillsville; 2 daughters: Darlene (Chris) Holly and Savannah Ferguson, both of Gillsville; 4 brothers: William L. (Louise) Ferguson, Arkansas Richard (Ann) Ferguson, Jerry (Maurine) Ferguson and Jimmy (Joleen) Ferguson, all of Gillsville; 2 sistes: Patsy (Don) Davis, Honer and Joan (Ron) Faust of Lavonia; 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Bobby Ferguson will conducted on Tuesday at 11 AM from the Midway United Methodist Xhurch in Gillsville. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2-9 PM and at other times at the home of Jerry and Maurine Ferguson on Herbert-Segars Rd in Gillsville.
