J.W. Sullens

Barrett Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. J.W. Sullens, age 68 of Cleveland, GA. Mr.Sullens passed away on Saturday, July 30,2005, at Gateway Healthcare Center following an extended illness.

Born in Lumpkin County on jan. 1,1937, he was the son of the late Frank James Sullens and Cora Frances Smith Sullens. Mr. Sullens was preceded in death by his sister, Irene Sullens, and by a brother, Kenneth Sullens.

Survivors include: his son, Jessie Dean Sullens, Cleveland; daughter & son-in-law, Javonia Sue Garrett and Doug Garrett, Gainesville; daughter, Miss Caldwell, Jacksonvlle,FL; sister, Willie Lou Smith, Covington; 5 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2,2005, from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dean Bryant and the Rev. Kenneth Pilcher will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Monday.
