Rev. Billy Calloway Foster

Rev. Billy Calloway Foster, age 72 of Jonesboro and formerly of Habersham County, died Monday, August 01, 2005 at Emory Healthcare Facility of Atlanta.

Born in Habersham County on April 03, 1933, he was the son of the late Haskell C. Foster, Jr. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of East Side Baptist Church. He was the retired minister at Bethel Baptist Church in Jonesboro.

Surviving are wife, Harriett Parkerson Foster of Jonesboro; Daughters and sons-in-law, Leslie & David Haynie of Jonesboro. Laura and Ryan Carlton of Dallas and Ann & Pete Palermo of Fayetteville; Mother, Essie Mae Purcell Foster if Cornelia; Brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Bobbie Foster and Wayne & Joan Foster, all of Cornelia; Sister, Betty Jane Fain of Cornelia; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 10:30a.m. Thursday, August 04, 2005, from Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Billy Burrell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or the Gideons; c/o PO Box 725 Cornelia, GA 30531.
