Myron Roger Potts

Mr. Myron Roger Potts, age 68, of Jefferson, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 14,2006, after an extended illness.

Mr. Potts was born on Feb. 14, 1938 in Jackson County, a son to the late Mr. and Mrs. Odell & Edna Mauldin Potts. Mr. Potts was the retired Co-Owner of Jefferson Chevron. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of Thyatira Presbyterian Church. His brothers, Bobby Potts, Billy Potts and Jack Potts preceded him in death.

Survivors include: wife, Carol Dolores Simmons Potts, Jefferson; sons, Dwayne and Teresa Potts, Jefferson, and Roger G. Potts, Atlanta; sisters, Tot Archer, Jefferson, and Deloris Love, South Carolina; granddaughter, Ashley Potts.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 16,2006, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Dr. Gerald Mitton officiating. The Burial will follow in the Thyatira Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home.
