Beulah Mae Herrin Faulkner

Beulah Mae Herrin Faulkner, age 87, of Alto, Georgia, died Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at the Habersham County Medical Center.

Mrs. Faulkner was born on March 21, 1918 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late John and Effie Watson Herrin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Hix Faulkner, a son, Leon Faulkner, a grandson, Jason Faulkner, sisters, Gladys Ferguson, and Ora Lee Martin and brothers, Talmadge Herrin, Aaron Herrin, and Erford Herrin. Mrs. Faulkner was a member of the Mud Creek Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School for a number of years at her church. Mrs. Faulkner was a homemaker.


Survivors include: her sons, John Wayne Faulkner, Cornelia, GA; Doug Faulkner, Alto, GA; Sisters, Laverne Slappy, Hartwell, GA; Naomi Mitchell, Cornelia, GA; Brother: Marshall Herrin, Cornelia, GA; 1 grandchild; 2 great-grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 17, 2006 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin with Rev. Lloyd Free and Rev. Clyde Garrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Mud Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Roy Lee Mitchell officiating at the graveside.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday.
