Dalton C. Sexton, Sr.

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Dalton C. Sexton, Sr., age 65, of Jefferson, GA, who passed away on Friday, Sept. 15, 2006. He was born on March 18, 1941 in Gwinnett County, the son of the late Carter Sexton and Bessie Harbin Sexton.

Mr. Sexton was a retired mechanic and carpenter and attended Faith Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Dalton Cody Sexton, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Midge B. Sexton, Jefferson; daughter, Tammy Jean Sexton, St. Petersburg, FL; sons Dalton Carter Sexton, Sugar Hill, Joe Gorzalczyk and wife Jackie, Pendergrass, Ron Gorzalczyk and wife Leigh, Dacula, Dave Goralczyk, Clermont; sisters, Jessie Sexton, Jefferson, Colleen Allison, Oakwood, Charlotte Hartloge, Savannah; brother, Clinton Sexton, Jefferson; 10 grandchildren; several special nieces & nephews; special aunt & uncle, Sara & J.D. Sexton, Gray; his "adopted" boys, Scott Hudson & Joe Shubert.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 18,2006 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Cudd officiating. Burial will follow at Jackson Memorial Gardens.
