Sylvester Sisk

Mr. Sylvester Sisk, age 68, of Dahlonega, GA, died Tuesday December 19, 2006 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Mr. Sisk was a native and longtime resident of Lumpkin County. He was employed with the White County Road Department and was of the Baptist faith.

Sylvester was the son of the late Riley Sisk and Bessie Grindle Sisk Sullens.

He is survived by his Wife of 48 years: Edith Sisk, Dahlonega, Ga., Son and daughter in law: Jerry and Donna Sisk, Dahlonega, Ga., Brothers and sisters in law: Tommy and Linda Sisk, Dahlonega, Ga., Sherman and Mary Sullens, Dahlonega, Ga., Herman and Frances Sullens, Gainesville, Ga., Sisters and brothers in law: Velva Bruce, Dahlonega, Ga., Virginia and Robert Gibson, Dahlonega, Ga., Lucy Baliles, Dawsonville, Ga., Joan and Wesley Stephens, Dahlonega, Ga., Grandchildren: Zackary Sisk and Rylee Sisk, both of Dahlonega, Ga. A large number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Sisk are scheduled for 2 P.M. Saturday December 23, 2006 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega with Rev. Doug Carnes and Rev. Dean Bryant officiating.

Interment will follow in the Philippi Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 P.M. until 9 P.M., all day Friday, and again on Saturday until the time of service.
