Proud of his early service in the Army Reserves, Don also pursued his love of aviation, earning his pilot’s license enjoying countless flights in his Cessna.
Don’s interests were many. He was a true car enthusiast with a particular passion for Corvettes and an encyclopedic knowledge of automobiles. Known for his willingness to help others, he was known as a “Mr. Fix It” whom neighbors often called upon for his expertise and generous nature. Don enjoyed playing and watching golf, traveling with Jane and their friends, and spending time at the beach or lake. Above all, he cherished his roles as a loving husband, father, “Granddaddy” and friend. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
