Geraldine Defoor Dickson

Mrs. Geraldine Defoor Dickson, age 82 of Toccoa passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Pruitt Health Toccoa.

A daughter of the late Arthur and Annie Daniel Defoor, she was born May 16, 1943 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County, Georgia.  She was a homemaker and loved to crochet and quilt.  She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Dickson in 2017 and by her siblings, Emma Ivester, Harold Defoor, Barbara Brock and Hylon Singleton.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Donna Dickson and Brian and Sharee Dickson both of Toccoa and Troy and Selena Dickson of Pine Mountain, Georgia; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Defoor of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Saturday, August 30, 2025, 2 p.m. at Stephens Memorial Gardens with Jake Dickson, Cole Dickson and Justin Minchew officiating.  Sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:45 p.m until 1:45 p.m.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
