Norma Ann Moore Porter

Norma Ann Moore Porter, age 91, of Buford, GA passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, James Bonnie Porter, Sr; son, John David Porter; daughter-in-law, Gail Rhodes Porter; daughter and son-in-law, Jacque and Curtis Brock; sisters, Evelyn Davis, Frances Gober, Elizabeth Beachman; and brother, Bobby Moore. Mrs. Porter is survived by children, James Porter, Jr and wife, Marie of Buford, Joyce Allen of Hull, GA; grandchildren, Robert and Alex Hanley, John and Colleen Allen, Kayt and Joshua McAlexander, Joshua Brock; great grandchildren, Tyler and Kayla Hanley Makenna Hanley, Conner Hanley, Jacxson Allen, Audrey McAlexander; great great grandchildren, Camden and Carsyn; sister Juanita Calhoun of Sugar Hill; brother, B. Ned (Carol) Moore of Monroe, GA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Porter was born on July 31, 1934 and graduated in 1951 from Sugar Hill High School. She was a member of West Buford Baptist Church. Mrs. Porter retired from General Motors Assembly Plant after fourteen years of service, and she was a member of U A W Local 10.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Ritchson officiating. Interment will follow in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 24 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and again on Monday, August 25 from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service.
