Timothy Scott Shurtleff, age 86 of Cornelia, passed away Friday, August 1, 2025, at his residence.
Born in Elkins, West Virginia on October 27, 1938, he was the son of Vincent Shurtleff and Sibyl Bright Shurtleff. Mr. Shurtleff retired from Scovill Manufacturing and was of the Christian faith. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was an active member of Habersham Life and in his spare time enjoyed talking, good food, reading, trivia, music, hunting and poetry.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Kathlynn Raymond Shurtleff; step son, Christopher Williams; two grandchildren, and sister, Jane Ann Patterson.
Surviving are wife, Sara Williams Shurtleff of Cornelia; sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick & Lisa Shurtleff of Hollywood, Clint & Melanie Shurtleff of Demorest, and Michael & Christy Shurtleff of Watkinsville; stepson, John Williams of Albers, IL; 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; sister, Melanie Kolben of St Petersburg, FL; two nephews; and caregiver, Tonya Kuipers.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2 pm Saturday, August 23, 2025, at The Torch, 800 Cannon Bridge Rd, Demorest, GA 30535 with Rev. Michael Hall, Sr. officiating.
