Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Robert Daniel Phillips, age 81, of Bethlehem, Georgia, who passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025. Mr. Phillips was born in Atlanta, Georgia, a son to the late Robert Henry Phillips and the late Jimmie Claude Osborne Phillips. Mr. Phillips was a member of the Pond Fork Baptist Church and was a retired commercial truck driver. In addition to his parents, Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline “Jackie” Lucille Hagwood Phillips, daughter, Tammmy Lavener Sullivan, and sisters, Dale Peppers and Inez Spinks.
Survivors include his children, Jason Phillips of Bethlehem, Robbie Phillips of Snellville and Kelly Boner and her husband Randy of Madison; brother, Ralph Henry Phillips and his wife Laura of Pendergrass, sister, Margaret Elizabeth Osborne of Carnesville; grandchildren, Shawn (Ashley) Phillips, Alicia Anderson, Tessa Phillips, Danielle Shoemake, Riley Shoemake, Alan Partain, Ashley (Avery) Withrow, Haley (Justin) Martin and Austin (Andrea) Boner; great grandchildren, Ethan, Gavin, Alyssa, Shayla, Peyton, Bradyn, Landon, Savannah, Camryn, Reagan, Luke and Dallas; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Pond Fork Baptist Church with Reverend Chris Hulsey and Reverend Dakota Stockton officiating. The body will lie in state on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM in the Pond Fork Baptist Church, prior to the service. The burial will follow in the Pond Fork Baptist Church Cemetery with Shawn Phillips, Austin Boner, Alan Partain, Riley Shoemake, Justin Martin and Avery Withrow honored as pallbearers.
The visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 20, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home.
